Barbecue Chickpeas

Yum. This is by far the simplest meal I’ve ever made as a vegan. Super easy, super frugal….here you go.

You need:

1 can drained and rinsed chickpeas

2-3 tbsp. bbq sauce (I use Sweet Baby Rays)

Heat the chickpeas in a small saucepan with a few squirts of barbecue sauce (enough to cover the chickpeas to whatever consistency you want).

Eat.

Can’t get any simpler than that!! Now you can add it to some whole wheat pitas or tortillas, or you can make a side dish of veggies and/or rice to go with it. This is a great option when money is tight or when you are craving some bbq chicken from your pre-vegan days! 🙂

Even Liam loves it! He had seconds!!!
